Verdant Tree of Life. 16" x 16", Oil on Wood, © Cedar Lee 2013
Here is my recent painting, “Verdant Tree of Life.” Verdant was the first word that came to mind when it was finished because the tree’s canopy is so thick and lush.
The colors in the branches and roots are also glowing with life, the rocks in the ground seem to be pulsing with warmth, and the starry sky fills the background with luminescence. Everything in this painting glows–I feel it really captures the living part of the symbolism of the Tree of Life.
