New World. 18" x 24", Oil on Canvas, © 2013 Cedar Lee
This painting is called “Threshold” because to me, it feels like the viewer is crossing over into something new–from the planet in the foreground into the blue space, then beyond into the mystery of the bright clouds of pink and purple in the distance.
This one is called “New World” because it looks like someplace so foreign to anything I know, and so beautiful and full of possibilities. I really would love to be able to go there!
