Sumptuous and Singing Lotuses

These paintings just fill me with emotion when I look at them! This one is called “Sumptuous Lotus” because to me, the petals look so thick and healthy, the flower is full and round, the leaves in the background are deep and glossy–it gives a feeling of opulence and sensuality.

And this one is called “Lotus Song” because the lines of movement emanating from the blossoming flower in the center remind me of something musical–both in the sense of sound vibrations and also a joyous mood!
