Glacier Peak is in Mt. Baker–Snoqualmie National Forest in northern Washington state.

This painting combines two of the most spectacular sights on Earth: A majestic mountain peak viewed from a distance, and the Milky Way galaxy spread out across a night sky.
Those familiar with this location will recognize the mountain by its distinctive shape.
Mountain peaks have special significance to certain people. Some of us are hikers, climbers or ski enthusiasts who have been up to the summit. Many more are people who live in the region of the mountain. The majestic sight of the mountain is close to all our hearts.
Many of us have memories of driving past a view of a particular mountain on a road trip. We always feel the excitement when we catch a glimpse of the mountain in the distance.
I painted the magnificent Milky Way in an abstract art style. I created the billions of stars with paint drips and splatters!
