This painting, “Metallic Trees 2,” combines acrylic paint pouring techniques alongside intentional brushwork to highlight the interesting forms of tree branches and roots inherent in the randomness of the poured paint.

After much trial and error, I create poured paintings that are aesthetically beautiful to me.
And much to my delight, I then start to see the shapes of trees in them!
At this point, I add brushwork on top of the abstract painting to highlight the shapes of the branches and roots of these interesting, weaving trees.
