“Night Tree” shows the lovely, strong shape of a solitary tree mostly cloaked in the dark of night, against a background of a beautiful gradient of colors.
This art is inspired by Mt. Tabor Park, in Portland, Oregon, at night. The vague shapes of the trees in the darkness are barely illuminated by the warm glow of street lanterns sprinkled through the park.
In this painting, Lantern Light, you can see the source of the light behind the slender trunks of the tall trees, where it fades out to orange and red.
