This is the nocturnal version of my last painting, Morning Birds.
Here, the tree is bathed in silvery moonlight. The sky is deep blue and the ground is red clay.
The birds are perched in the chill of a clear starry sky, under a rising crescent moon.
The paint on the tree trunk is textured into knots and gnarls, raised up from the canvas in contrast to the flat paint of the sky.
A magical nighttime scene to behold!
This one will be available for the first time, along with many others, during my Spring Sale May 15-30!
