8 Abstract Mini Paintings | Metallic Trees

Here are 8 new paintings just completed, the newest additions to my abstract “Metallic Trees” series!

Metallic Trees 7

In Metallic Trees 7, it feels like the winding black tree in the center is merging with the environment around it.

The shapes throughout can evoke different imagery: Are the small round objects leaves, or fruits on the branches of the trees?

Or are they stars glittering in an otherworldly sky?

There is a feeling of movement throughout, as if the shapes are swaying and morphing before our eyes.

The white and gray colors in the background bring to mind cloudy, cold weather. With the bare branches of the trees, it looks like a winter scene.

The three yellow circles at the bottom reinforce the connection between the two trees. Something about them feels symbolic. It makes you think about the root systems of the trees sharing the same earth.

This focus of this painting is on the overlapping shapes, and the way the light golden colors glow alongside the more muted bronze and black.

I see the nebulous shapes of two trees with thick trunks: a silver tree on the left, and a bronze tree on the right.

It is an interesting image to get lost in, and different people may see different imagery in the shapes!

Orbs of white light fill the whole painting, bringing to mind an imaginary world with lights twinkling in a magic wood!

There is a sense that the orbs of light are moving around, and they look like they are filtering upward and becoming smaller as they float up into the sky among the branches of the trees.
