This past Friday and Saturday, we got 30″ of snow where I live!  That record-breaking storm has been dubbed “Snowmageddon.”

Can you make out the shape of my car in the center of this photo, taken on Saturday?

Sunday we worked on shoveling our way out.  This is taken from a path I shoveled on the sidewalk in front of my home.

My hubby working on digging out our Jeep.

Everything was sparkling and dazzling in the sun.  Here are our wind chimes and icicles on our porch as the sun went down on Sunday afternoon.

Most things in our area were completely shut down on Monday.  Most people in my neighborhood continued the efforts to dig out pathways and their cars, and the snowplows finally came through.

Then…Yesterday afternoon, Snowmageddon Redux began, dropping an additional 20-30″ of snow!  Here’s what my street looks like today (Wednesday.)  We are experiencing a real blizzard–heavy snow with high gusts of wind!

Believe it or not, I took these photos during a lull in the action this afternoon.  The worst of it should be over by now but it will continue snowing until late tonight.  There are 3-6-foot-high snowdrifts.

My dogs had an exhilarating romp outside earlier.  This is one of the paths that was completely shoveled down to the sidewalk before Snowmageddon Redux began.  So you can understand the scale here, these are not tiny dogs.  They are labs and each weigh about 60 pounds.

The view out my front door today.

Our Jeep, which on Sunday was completely cleared of snow and is now covered in a few more feet.  Behind the Jeep (in the top left corner) you can see our neighbor’s truck.  Between the Jeep and that truck lies my husband’s car, which is completely buried.

My husband’s car from the road.  (The small black oval in the sea of white is the side-view mirror sticking out.)

Wind chimes have been going crazy all night and day!  It’s so blustery outside that when you open our front door, gusts of freezing wind and piles of snow blow across the room.

I think it’s safe to say I’m not going outside again until tomorrow.
